Steelers Locker Room: Mason McCormick on NFL Debut, Running Game Success vs Chargers

Pittsburgh Steelers Mason McCormick

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers rookie guard Mason McCormick made his NFL debut on Sunday as a jumbo tight end, but the fourth-round pick out of South Dakota State ended up getting a lot more work than that.

McCormick and Spencer Anderson rotated at left guard, with the rookie getting more playing time as the game went on, and was part of a strong second-half surge from the Steelers offensive in general and running game, in particular, as they scored 10 fourth-quarter points to pull away from the Chargers, 20-10.
