Steelers Locker Room: Nick Herbig Recaps Huge Preseason

Steelers Locker Room Nick Herbig

DETROIT — No one took better advantage of their opportunities for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2024 preseason than outside linebacker Nick Herbig. The second-year player out of Wisconsin got plenty of extra reps, with veteran All-Pro T.J. Watt not taking any playing time in the preseason and fellow starter Alex Highsmith held out with a groin injury.

With the starters on the shelf, Herbig broke out, recording 4.5 sacks over three games after adding two, including a strip sack for a turnover, against the Detroit Lions on Saturday.
