? 11:30 a.m: Cam Heyward is teaming up with Hall of Famer Peyton Manning. Heyward announced on Tuesday via social media that he’ll have his own podcast on Manning’s Omaha Productions. The title of the podcast is “Not Just Football With Cam Heyward.” Heyward said his best friend, Hayden Walsh, will be the co-host of the podcast.
It appears that Heyward is preparing for a media career after his playing days, as in addition to launching his own podcast, he’s also appeared on NFL Total Access a few times this offseason and went through a media training seminar for current players at the NFL Network.
It was announced in May that Heyward was selected as the 2022 Good Guy Award winner by the Professional Football Writers of America. The award is given to an NFL player for his qualities and professional style in helping pro football writers do their jobs. Heyward was cited for consistently going “above and beyond’’ to build an honest rapport with those who cover the team. Heyward has also won the Chief Award (named after Art Rooney Sr.) three times for cooperation with the media, so he has an understanding of the media industry and has a respect for it.
In addition to Heyward’s podcast, Omaha Productions will feature an original podcast lineup of six signature titles in part of its extended relationship with ESPN.
