On Sunday, The Pittsburgh Steelers were able to go out west and pull off an upset win over the Los Angeles Rams via yet another second-half comeback. The Steelers offense was received a nice gift from superstar edge rusher T.J. Watt to punch their first touchdown in, but the unit stepped up immediately after that. They went 3-3 in the red zone and consistently moved the ball against a Rams defense that was giving them some trouble in the second half. Last season, Matt Canada’s offense took a step in the right direction after the bye week, helping push Pittsburgh into playoff contention. Could we be seeing a bit of deju vu in 2023?

Run Game Emergence

There’s no doubt that the Steelers offense hasn’t been what they hoped it would be through the early going of the season and the run game woes have been near the list of problems. The unit didn’t produce a ton of splash in the form of explosive plays necessarily, but they did a nice job keeping the group on schedule which is even more important.
