The Steelers have done it. They will officially make the playoffs. After the Raiders knocked off the Chargers 35-32 on Daniel Carlson’s game-winning overtime field goal, the Steelers now own the seventh seed in the AFC.
After a day that saw the Jaguars rock the Colts to their core down in Jacksonville, and the Steelers win a nail-biter in Baltimore, all the Steelers needed was for the Chargers and Raiders to not tie. Now that it has come to fruition, the Steelers are in the postseason.
Still, nothing gets easier for the Steelers from here on out. The Steelers will travel to Kansas City to play the Chiefs. The Steelers traveled to Kansas City two short weeks ago, and they were run out of the building in a 36-10 loss. The bigger question will be if the Steelers can reshape their gameplan and somehow knock off the Chiefs. They now have the chance to prove just that.
The Steelers will play the Chiefs on Sunday night at 8:15.
