Steelers Officially Sign CB Levi Wallace, Contract Details Reported
The Pittsburgh Steelers officially announced the signing of free agent cornerback Levi Wallace on Thursday, in addition to the previously announced signing of quarterback Mitch Trubisky, and the contract details have been reported.
Wallace, 26, comes to the Steelers after four years as a starting cornerback for the Buffalo Bills. His contract is for two years, $8 million. There is a $2.965 million signing bonus, and $1.035 million in salary in 2022, with a $4 million salary in 2023, balancing the cash equally between the two seasons.
He will have a $2.5175 million salary cap hit in 2022 and a $5.4825 million charge in 2023, according to Over The Cap.
After contract displacement, Wallace will absorb approximately $1.8 million in salary cap space.
A former undrafted free agent, the new contract will represent a big increase in salary for the young free agent. Wallace earned $3.679 million over his first four seasons in Buffalo.
