The Pittsburgh Steelers have opened as 2.5-point underdogs to the Indianapolis Colts for their Week 12 game on Monday Night Football at Lucas Oil Stadium, according to DraftKings Sportsbook.

The Steelers are 4-6 against the spread this year, while the Colts are 5-6. The Philadelphia Eagles were 6.5-point favorites against Indianapolis on Sunday, but the Eagles just barely got bye with a 17-16 win. The Colts have been playing a lot better since Jeff Saturday took over as interim head coach two weeks ago. Bill Cowher might have missed the mark on his strong take.

The Cincinnati Bengals covered the 3.5-point spread by defeating the Steelers, 37-30, on Sunday. The point total was set at 39.5, so it went +27.5 over. The point total for the Steelers-Colts game is projected at 39.5, as well. Pittsburgh games have hit the over four out of 10 times this season, while Colts games have reached the over just twice.

The Steelers put up a season-high 30 points against the Bengals, but it’s been a trying year for Matt Canada’s offense, to say the least. Prior to Sunday’s contest, the Steelers ranked 31st in points per game (15.6) and they didn’t have a single touchdown from outside the red zone. Kenny Pickett’s 24-yard touchdown pass to George Pickens against Cincinnati was the first one. The Colts offense hasn’t been much better, however, as they ranked 30th in points per game (15.7) heading into Week 11. Betting the under for Monday night’s game would seem wise.

The Steelers are 26-6 all-time against the Colts and have won their last seven meetings against Indianapolis. The last time the Colts beat the Steelers was on Nov. 9, 2008. The Steelers won their last meeting against Indianapolis, 28-24, on Dec. 27, 2020.

Kickoff on Monday night from Lucas Oil Stadium is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN and ABC. It will be the first time the Steelers have played in Indianapolis since 2017.
