Steelers Open Season on Sunday Night Football Against Patriots

Even though it’s still very early in the off-season, NFL fans are already getting excited for some big games and new drama. And that excitement will now surely turn up for Steelers fans.

Pittsburgh will open their 2019 regular season in New England against the defending champion Patriots, according to The Athletic Boston’s Jeff Howe.

The game will be in a prime time spot and nationally televised on NBC as part of their Sunday Night Football showcase. While this game is usually left for the end of the year, it will instead help kickoff the new season. Unfortunately for any Steelers fans interested in making the trip, you will undoubtedly have to endure watching the Patriots celebrate a 6th Lombardi Trophy before the game.

Despite missing the playoffs, the Steelers were able to pick up a 17-10 victory over Tom Brady and company in 2018.
