The Pittsburgh Steelers passed the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North and now control their own destiny in the AFC playoff picture after Baltimore’s loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday afternoon.

The 7-6-1 Steelers passed now 8-7 Baltimore for second place in the AFC North and the seventh and final AFC Wild Card spot behind 9-6 New England and Indianapolis. 

With three games to play, the Steelers are now in control of their own playoff destiny.

The Patriots fell into the Wild Card spot after a loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Indianapolis took advantage of the Arizona Cardinals on Christmas night to move to nine wins.

The Ravens and Los Angeles Chargers both slipped to 8-7 following early losses on Sunday to fall behind the Steelers. 

The Denver Broncos, Las Vegas Raiders and Miami Dolphins remain in the hunt at 7-7. The Broncos and Raiders play each other Sunday afternoon. The Dolphins play the New Orleans Saints on Monday night.

The Cleveland Browns remain in the hunt at 7-8, but are significant long shots.
