The Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates are joining forces this holiday season by partnering to bring Thanksgiving to local families in need.

According to a release Monday, the three franchises are hosting a #BurghProud Thanksgiving meal distribution event on Tuesday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Mazeroski Way cul-de-sac adjacent to PNC Park.

The distribution event is also being hosted in conjunction with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and Giant Eagle.

Those seeking assistance will be asked to stay in their cars as supplies are loaded for them. The event will be a no-contact drive-thru pick up and adhere to local social distancing directives.

“This unique community event demonstrates the bond between the city’s three professional sports teams and their collective drive to positively impact the community,” the Steelers said in a press release Monday.
