Steelers Pick Texas A&M OT Dan Moore Jr. in 4th Round of 2021 NFL Draft

The Pittsburgh Steelers have selected Texas A&M offensive lineman Dan Moore Jr. with the No. 128 overall pick in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Moore is a 6-foot-5 1/2, 311-pound tackle from Beaumont, Texas. Moore played four seasons with the Aggies, starting out at right tackle before moving to left tackle as a sophomore, where he became a three-year starter.

He will join a Steelers tackle group that is expected to have to replace longtime starting left tackle Alejandro Villanueva. 2020 starting right tackle Chukwuma Okorafor will slide to left tackle, with Zach Banner expected to return from ACL injury to man the right tackle. Moore should have a chance to be the top backup at the position as a rookie. He’ll compete with free agent signing Joe Haeg for that role.

Moore is the fourth consecutive pick taken on the offensive side of the ball by the Steelers, joining running back Najee Harris, tight end Pat Freiermuth and center Kendrick Green. The last time the Steelers took four straight offensive players in any one draft was 1984.
