The Steelers have placed defensive lineman Chris Wormley on the injured reserve list with a knee injury and promoted three players from the practice squad for their game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Wormley was injured in the Steelers’ Week 7 win over the Tennessee Titans, did not practice this week and had already been ruled out of the Ravens game. He will have to miss at least two more weeks before eligible to return from the injured reserve.

Running back Trey Edmunds will be officially promoted from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. Edmunds had filled in as a Sunday practice squad recall against the Titans and the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5. He played six snaps on offense and 12 on special teams in two games.

Edmunds played 11 games for the Steelers last season and gained 92 yards on 22 carries. He is also a consistent special teams performer, with six tackles in 2019.

Additionally linebacker Jayrone Elliott and safety Antione Brooks have been elevated from the practice squad for this Sunday’s game and are eligible for selection to the active roster.

Elliott was activated against Tennessee and played three snaps, all on special teams. He played in five games with the Steelers last season and made four tackles.

Brooks, the Steelers’ sixth-round draft pick out of Maryland in the 2020 NFL Draft, has not yet made his NFL debut.

The Steelers will be playing without inside linebacker Ulysees Gilbert III (back) and safety Jordan Dangerfield (quad), who were both ruled out. Cornerback Mike Hilton (shoulder) and fullback Derek Watt (hamstring) are questionable.
