Adams is the first Steeler to be given the designation amid the league’s recent outbreak that has impacted multiple teams, including the Cleveland Browns.
Pittsburgh signed Adams off the New Orleans Saints practice squad on Nov. 30. He has recorded four total tackles and one tackle for loss in two games played with the Steelers.
Adams was originally a third round selection of the Green Bay Packers back in 2017. He posted 40 tackles, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a recovery in four season with Green Bay.
