PITTSBURGH — The Steelers have placed starting inside linebacker Devin Bush on the COVID-19 reserve list, the team announced on Wednesday.

Bush is the third player to be placed on the list by the Steelers Wednesday, following backup tackle Zach Banner and Dime linebacker Marcus Allen. Like Allen and Banner, Bush will have an opportunity to test out of the COVID-19 protocol if he has been vaccinated. If he has not been vaccinated, he will have to sit out 10 days.

The losses of Bush and Allen leave the Steelers light at inside linebacker. Robert Spillane would be expected to elevated to the starting lineup alongside Joe Schobert if Bush cannot play, with Ulysees Gilbert III providing depth. Fellow backup linebacker Buddy Johnson was injured in practice last week and missed the Tennessee Titans’ game.

Nose tackle Montravius Adams Sr. remains on the COVID-19 list, making four Steelers from the 53-man roster that are currently being held out of practice due to the virus. Practice squad guard Malcom Pridgeon is also on the list.
