The Pittsburgh Steelers have placed running back Trey Edmunds on the injured reserve list, the team announced on Thursday.
Edmunds missed the team’s Week 11 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars with a hamstring injury and had not practiced in any of the teams sessions this week.
He will have to remain on the injured reserve list for three weeks before he’s eligible to return.
The Steelers re-signed Edmunds on Nov. 10 after having waived him earlier this season.
Edmunds has been active for four games for the Steelers this season and played in three. He’s played seven snaps on offense and 20 snaps on special teams. He has not recorded any statistics.
Edmunds was placed on the injured reserve list in order to make room for title and Vance McDonald, whose roster exemption expired after he returned from the COVID-19 reserve list earlier in the week. The Steelers’ active roster now stands 53 players.
