PITTSBURGH — Alan Saunders and Nick Farabaugh of Steelers Now were at the first practice of Pittsburgh Steelers OTAs 2024 on Tuesday at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex, and the storyline that will likely dominate the rest of the 2024 offseason got underway, as quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields made their Pittsburgh debuts.
The big story of right now seems to be a non-story, as Mike Tomlin brushed aside concerns about defensive tackle Cam Heyward not participating in OTAs, and other players on expiring contracts such as James Daniels, Pat Freiermuth and Najee Harris were all in attendance on Tuesday.
Nick and Alan broke down all of that, plus how the secondary looks with new cornerback Donte Jackson, what’s happening in the slot, and where Broderick Jones, Troy Fautanu and Dan Moore Jr. all started between the two tackle positions.
