PITTSBURGH — The wide receiver position remains one of the most significant questions the Pittsburgh Steelers must answer before Week 1. Whether that be an outside addition or with the players there, Pittsburgh is quickly finding out what they have. Part of the potential solution? Third-year wide receiver Calvin Austin III could have a bit of a breakout this season after his first full year of games in 2023.
But another name threw his hat into the ring—Quez Watkins. The team acquired Watkins in free agency, and a deep ball from Russell Wilson was corralled on Thursday. Where does that leave the wide receiver position, and how are the quarterbacks responding to the questions around the room?
For now, the team is settling into a rotation of players that should supplement one another. That conveniently does not rule out a potential move in the future. In addition, Beanie Bishop is settling in nicely and makes some noise for the team to notice.
