Steelers Promote Marcel Pastoor to Head Strength and Conditioning Coach

The Steelers have promoted Marcel Pastoor to head strength and conditioning coach, according to 2021 season staff bios posted to the team’s media website.

Pastoor has been with the Steelers since 2001, when he started as a strength and conditioning intern. He was promoted to strength and conditioning assistant in 2004 and was part of the team’s Super Bowl wins in 2005 and 2008.


Before joining the Steelers, Pastoor spent one season with the Washington Football Team and two with Radford. He is a Virginia Tech alum.

Since 2007, Pastoor has worked under Garrett Giemont, the team’s conditioning coordinator.

Rodan Delus, who spent three seasons as the team’s strength and conditioning intern, has been promoted to assistant strength and coach.

Only a Decade too late for a new Strength and Conditioning Coach in Pittsburgh.. Steelers have had the most lost player injury time over these years.. Lateral move promoting someone from inside, don’t expect anything to change…
