The Pittsburgh Steelers have protected offensive linemen Chaz Green and John Leglue and wide receivers Anthony Miller and Steven Sims from being signed from their practice squad for Week 12, according to the NFL transactions page for Tuesday.

Green has been elevated to the active roster once this season and played one snap against Green Bay in Week 4. He was also protected in Week 11. The fifth-year vet spent has 38 games of NFL experience, mostly at tackle.

Leglue, in his second pro season out of Tulane, is a versatile lineman that can play all five positions.

The Steelers are without starting left tackle Kevin Dotson, who is out at least two more weeks with a high ankle sprain, and backup center/guard J.C. Hassenauer, who was injured against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday and head coach Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday that he may not practice this week.

Sims was elevated from the practice squad in Week 10 and played five offensive snaps against the Detroit Lions without recording any statistics. He played 28 games over two seasons with Washington before joining the Steelers.

Miller played four seasons with Chicago and Houston before coming to Pittsburgh. He has not been elevated from the practice squad.

JuJu Smith-Schuster remains on the injured reserve with a shoulder injury that is expected to be season-ending and Ray-Ray McCloud was placed on the COVID-19 Reserve List on Tuesday and will miss the entire week of practice, at the very least.
