Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins said he appreciates the concern expressed toward him after the news broke that his wife has been charged with domestic battery, but disputed some of the details of the police report’s account of the evening.

“I appreciate all of the concern,” Haskins wrote on Instagram on Thursday. “However I have all of my teeth. Don’t believe everything you read. Peace.”

Kalabrya Gondrezick-Haskins was charged by Las Vegas Metro Police with domestic battery after a July 3 incident at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas hotel and casino.

According to the arrest report, obtained by KLAS-TV in Las Vegas, a piece of Haskins’ tooth was found on the floor of the couple’s hotel room and that he was treated for facial injuries at a local hospital.

Haskins announced his engagement to Gondrezick, a former Michigan State basketball player, this week, though the couple told police they were married in March.

Gondrezick-Haskins also addressed the story on Instagram on Thursday.

“Y’all really shouldn’t believe everything you read,” she wrote. “Smh. This is sad.”
