Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mitch Trubisky and his wife Hillary announced the birth of their son, Hudson David Trubisky, who was born on the morning of May 9.

Mitch Trubisky, a former Chicago Bears and Buffalo Bills quarterback, was signed to a two-year free agent contract by the Steelers earlier this offseason. When the signing was announced in March, Trubisky said the family would be quickly moving to and that he expected his son to be born in Pittsburgh.

Trubisky was born and raised in Mentor, Ohio, just a few hours northwest of Pittsburgh. He attended the University of North Carolina and was the No. 2 overall pick of the Bears in 2017. After four seasons in Chicago, Trubisky moved to Buffalo in 2021, where he backed up Josh Allen.

Trubisky and the former Hillary Gallagher were married last July after dating for several years.

His contract with the Steelers is for $14.825 million over two years, including a $5 million signing bonus and $4 million per season in playing time incentives. The Steelers also drafted quarterback Kenny Pickett in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft as the team looks to replace Ben Roethlisberger, who retired in January after 18 seasons.
