CINCINNATI — Steelers running back James Conner and guard Kevin Dotson are both inactive for the team’s Monday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Both players were injured in the team’s loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Dotson suffered a shoulder injury, did not practice all week and was officially ruled out on Saturday.

Conner has been bothered by a quadriceps injury. He was limited in practice on Friday and Saturday and declared questionable to play, but will not.

Backup center J.C. Hassenauer is expected to slide to guard to replace Dotson, who was filling in for injured starter Matt Feiler. Backup guard/tackle Derwin Gray is dressed, as well.

Benny Snell Jr. should start at running back, with both he and Jaylen Samuels filling in for Conner against Buffalo. Rookie Anthony McFarland Jr., who was scratched in Week 14, is dressed as the team’s third running back.

Inside linebacker Tegray Scales has been called up from the practice squad and is active for the second straight game as the Steelers deal with the absences of Devin Bush Jr. and Robert Spillane at inside linebacker.

Healthy scratches for the Steelers are quarterback Josh Dobbs, safety Antoine Brooks Jr., defensive end/linebacker Cassius Marsh and defensive end Isaiah Buggs.

Former Steelers interior lineman B.J. Finney is among the Cincinnati inactives, along with quarterback Brandon Allen (knee), linebacker Logan Wilson (ankle), kicker Randy Bullock, guard Alex Redmond and guard Keaton Sutherland.
