Steelers running back James Conner has left his team’s game against the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night with a shoulder injury and will not to return.
Conner returned to action on Thursday after missing two games with a sprained AC joint. It’s not clear if the injury Conner is being evaluated for is the same injury or a different shoulder injury.
He was originally listed as questionable to return, but was downgraded to out at halftime.
Jaylen Samuels will take over for Conner, with Trey Edmunds and Tony Brooks-James serving as depth.
Conner had five carries for 10 yards and one catch for six yards before coming out of the game.
