CINCINNATI — Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris removed himself from their Week 13 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals with an apparent injury.

Harris pulled up short on a screen pass midway through the first quarter and immediately took himself out of the game. It remains to be seen how serious his injury is, but Steelers backup running back Jaylen Warren replaced him the very next play.

Harris did not go into the blue medical tent and was standing on the sideline with his helmet on, but he did not return on the following offensive series.

The Steelers were still able to get into the end zone on the drive, which was capped off with a 17-yard pass by Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson to wide receiver George Pickens.

If Harris’ injury is serious, expect to see a lot more of Warren and fellow Steelers running back Cordarrelle Patterson.

That would still be a tough blow to the Steelers offense, however, as they were giving the Bengals a heavy dose of Harris, who had two rushes for eight yards and four catches for 45 yards before he suffered the injury.

Warren has rushed for 303 yards and a touchdown in nine games this season while Patterson has 104 yards on the ground.

Harris has battled bumps and bruises all season, but he’s been able to tough it out to remain available for the Steelers. They will be hoping that is the case once again.
