The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed punter Corliss Waitman to their 53-man roster, the team announced on Saturday.

Waitman was with the Steelers through training camp and spent most of the 2020 season on the team’s practice squad. He is expected to replace starting punter Pressley Harvin III on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. Harvin is expected to miss the game after the death of his father.

Waitman signed with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of South Alabama last spring and he spent most of 2020 on the club’s practice squad without being activated for a game. He was waived after the team drafted Harvin this spring.

He spent training camp with the Las Vegas Raiders this summer and was on the New England Patriots’ practice squad in November.
