The Pittsburgh Steelers, in addition to their quarterback issues, need another wide receiver. On Sunday, reports surfaced that a previous free agent target of theirs, Davante Adams, is signing with the Los Angeles Rams.

Adams, recently cut by the New York Jets, has decided to take an early signing instead of waiting on the new league year. It has been rumored he would follow Aaron Rodgers to his next destination.

Adams has previously expressed interest in playing for Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and was even a trade target of Pittsburgh’s last season. Of course, the Jets ended up winning the bid by shipping out a third-round pick to the Las Vegas Raiders.

In a market that was already scarce to begin with, Adams off the board has drastically limited the Steelers’ options in free agency. Though trades for familiar faces could be in the realm of possibilities, the Steelers probably would like to limit spending multiple draft picks to take on bigger contracts.

Pittsburgh will need to be active on Monday at noon in order to figure out their quarterback situation, and then work out the skill positions of wide receiver and running back.
