Steelers Reinstate Practice Squad Guard Malcom Pridgeon from COVID-19 List
The Pittsburgh Steelers have re-instated guard Malcom Pridgeon from the practice squad COVID-19 reserve list, the team announced on Tuesday.
Pridgeon was placed on the list on Dec. 21. A second-year professional out of Ohio State, he has been with the Steelers since Aug. 9 and on the practice squad since Sept. 1, but has not been activated for any games.
Pridgeon’s activation makes seven players on the team currently impacted by the virus: inside linebackers Marcus Allen and Devin Bush, tackle Zach Banner, nose tackle Isaiah Buggs, running back Antony McFarland Jr. and practice squad wide receivers Anthony Miller and Steven Sims.
Miller was just placed on the list on Monday. All of the other players should be set to return before next Monday’s home finale against the Cleveland Browns.
