The Steelers will start the 2021 NFL season with the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio on Aug. 5 and play three more preseason games, with just one coming at Heinz Field, the team announced on Wednesday.
The Steelers will face the Dallas Cowboys in the Hall of Fame game on Aug. 5, visit the Philadelphia Eagles a week later before hosting the Detroit Lions on Aug. 21 and then wrap the preseason at Carolina.
Pittsburgh and Dallas are the only teams playing a four-game preseason this year, as the NFL’s move to a 17-game regular season has shortened the preseason to three games for most teams.
The Steelers have nine regular-season home games and one preseason home game in 2021. In 2022, they will have eight regular-season home games and two in the preseason.
