The Pittsburgh Steelers have released defensive back Isaiah Johnson from their practice squad, the team announced on Monday.
Johnson, a former fourth-round pick of the Houston Texans, just joined the Steelers practice squad on Dec. 14.
The Steelers have continually shuffled their practice squad players over the last few weeks. Johnson was added after fellow practice squad defensive back Linden Stephens was placed on the COVID-19 reserve list. Stephens was added back to the 16-man practice squad roster on Monday.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Johnson has played in 19 NFL games with the Raiders in 2019 and 2020, making 15 total tackles and defending five passes.
