The Steelers have to be focusing on the 2022 quarterback class and how that shakes out. However, more importantly, they are going to be going out and scouting these quarterbacks actively. The Steelers have already been plenty active on the scouting trail, and that continued on Friday night.
The Steelers were one of 21 teams in attendance at the Carrier Dome for the Liberty and Syracuse matchup, according to Dan Tortora.

The main highlight and draw of the game was easily Liberty quarterback Malik Willis. Willis has phenomenal arm talent and a natural ability to extend the plays out of structure. With better accuracy and decision-making from a year ago, Willis stock has shot through the roof from a fringe first-round pick to a potential Top-10 pick. He would absolutely be a big draw for the Steelers, especially since Willis would be a delightful fit in Matt Canada’s dynamic scheme. It would offer a massive dynamic change from what Ben Roethlisberger has given the Steelers in the Canada offense.
The other main prospect they may have also watched is Syracuse cornerback Garrett Williams. An explosive, feisty player, Williams is a Steelers type of cornerback. If Joe Haden does end up leaving Pittsburgh after the season, it would make natural sense for the Steelers to take a look at Williams on Day 2.
