Steelers Scratch Buggs, Harvin, Haskins vs. Browns; Kendrick Green to Dress
PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers scratched punter Pressley Harvin III, defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs and quarterback Dwayne Haskins for Monday night’s game against the Cleveland Browns. Center Kendrick Green, who was listed as questionable with a calf injury, is active.
Harvin had missed practice all week while still dealing with the death of his father. Corliss Waitman will handle the punting and holding duties for the second consecutive game.
Buggs was activated from the COVID-19 reserve list on Saturday and got just one practice in before the game. Starter Chris Wormley is also on the COVID-19 list. The Steelers will go ahead with Cam Heyward, Montravius Adams, Henry Mondeaux, Isaiahh Loudermilk and Carlos Davis on the defensive line.
Green suffered a calf injury late in the Week 16 loss at Kansas City and missed the team’s first two practice sessions of the week, but was a limited participant on Saturday and will apparently give it a go at center.
Haskins has been scratched as the team’s third quarterback in all but one game this season. Johnson has previously been ruled out with a foot injury.
