Steelers Scratch Haskins, B. Johnson, Witherspoon; Broncos at Full Health

PITTSBURGH — Quarterback Dwayne Haskins, inside linebacker Buddy Johnson and cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon are health scratches for the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Denver Broncos, the team announced on Sunday.

Additionally, injured players Carlos Davis (knee), cornerback Cam Sutton (groin) and wide receiver James Washington (groin) had already been ruled out with injury.

A combination of James Pierre on the outside and Arthur Maulet and Tre Norwood inside are expected to cover for Sutton in the secondary. Practice squad call-up Karl Joseph is active ahead of Witherspoon, and will provide safety depth with Norwood expected to play more cornerback.

Cody White, who was signed from the practice squad to the 53-man roster on Saturday, is active and will replace Washington as the No. 3 outside wide receiver.

Isaiah Buggs will start for Davis at nose tackle for the third straight week.

The Broncos have activated quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (concussion), running back Melvin Gordon III (lower leg), wide receiver Diontae Spencer (chest), Patrick Surtain II (chest) and wide receiver Courtland Sutton (ankle), who were all questionable.

Defensive lineman McTelvin Agim, cornerback Ronald Darby, tackle Cam Fleming, safety Jamar Johnson, quarterback Brett Rypien and cornerback Kary Vincent Jr. are all healthy scratches for Denver.

Darby was added to the 53-man roster when he Broncos put tight end Albert Okwuegbunam on the injured reserve with a hamstring injury on Saturday.
