PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers are hosting Iowa State wide receiver Jaylin Noel for a pre-draft visit at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on Friday.

Noel is projected to be a Day 2 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft ranked as the No. 71 overall player on the NFL Mock Draft Database consensus big board.

The Steelers already traded for wide receiver DK Metcalf to pair with George Pickens. However, the team seems interested in taking a wide receiver in one of the first two days of the draft and Noel would provide a different type of receiver than Metcalf and Pickens, at 5-foot-10, 194 pounds.

If Pittsburgh were to use a Day 2 pick on Noel, a Pickens trade would become even more likely, too.

Noel spent all four years of his collegiate career playing for Iowa State. From 2021-24, he had 244 catches for 2,851 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also rushed 13 times for 84 yards.

He had a breakout season in 2024 with the Cyclones, recording 80 receptions for 1,194 yards and eight touchdowns. He ranked ninth nationally in receiving yards and 18th in receiving yards per game (85.3) last season.

Noel also tested well at the NFL Scouting Combine, running a 4.39-second 40-yard dash and recording a 41.5-inch vertical jump, 11-foot-2 broad jump and 23 reps on bench press.

In addition to Noel, Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart, South Carolina safety Nick Emmanwori and Oregon nose tackle Jamaree Caldwell all visited the South Side on Friday.
