Steelers Sights and Sounds: Fullback Back

PITTSBURGH — The Steelers returned to practice on Wednesday in preparation for their Week 8 meeting with the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football.

Their bye week seems to have come at a good time, as well, as the Steelers are getting some key players back to full health.

Fullback Roosevelt Nix and running back Jaylen Samuels took carries in full pads (video below), a positive sign for the Steelers’ ground game.

Running back James Conner said before practice that he can’t wait to get Nix back involved with the offense.

“That what I’m really excited about,” Conner said. “Pro Bowl fullback, just him leading the way, him going head first into people, I need that.”

The Steelers are still banged up at outside linebacker. That group practiced without starter T.J. Watt, who was not in pads (photo).
