Steelers Sights and Sounds: Last Shot

PITTSBURGH — The Steelers began an abbreviated week of practice on Tuesday, as they begin preparations for Week 4’s annual preseason meeting with the Carolina Panthers.

In fact, Tuesday’s session is one of the team’s two scheduled practice sessions in between preseason games in Nashville on Sunday and Charlotte in Thursday.

Most of the Steelers’ starters are expected to get the week off as the team focuses on depth battles.

So that means that it’ll will be the largest chunk of action for many players down on the third team and below, while also being the most recent thing in the memory banks of the coaches when they make cuts by Aug. 31.
