PITTSBURGH — Backup James Pierre was following Joey Porter Jr. in the drill line at the cornerback position on Wednesday, as Pittsburgh Steelers starting outside cornerback Donte Jackson worked off to the side while continuing to rehab the shoulder injury that forced him from Sunday’s win over the New York Jets.

The Steelers did get some good news, though, as running back Cordarrelle Patterson returned to practice after missing the last three games with an ankle injury.

Elsewhere, nose tackle Breiden Fehoko is back on the practice squad after recovering from a preseason pec injury.
