Steelers Sights & Sounds: Diontae Johnson Throwing, Not Running at Practice

Steelers WR Diontae Johnson

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson is dealing with a turf toe injury and was expected by head coach Mike Tomlin to be limited in the early portion of the week’s practice session as the Steelers prepare for their Week 16 game against the Las Vegas Raiders this Saturday night.

Johnson did not practice on Wednesday and remained limited on Thursday, but found a way to contribute by throwing passes to his fellow receivers in drills instead of running and catching.

The team will release its final injury report for the game on Thursday afternoon. They have one final practice on Friday. Johnson is expected to be able to play.
