Steelers Sights & Sounds: George Pickens Takes Step Forward, No JPJ with CBs
PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens took a step closer to returning to the lineup, as Pickens was participating in drills with the rest of the team’s wide receivers at practice on Monday. Pickens, who is returning from a practice hamstring injury, had been working on his own late last week. Fellow WR Ben Skowronek (hip) was not in the drill line.
Elsewhere, quarterback Justin Fields ran on his own during individual drills. On defense, Donte Jackson, DeShon Elliott and Larry Ogunjobi performed drills with their respective units. Jackson was without his usual running mate, Joey Porter Jr., who has a knee injury.
T.J. Watt also took another step forward in his rehab from an ankle injury. He participated in drills with the rest of the team’s outside linebackers, albeit at less than full speed. Watt was listed as limited in practice on Thursday, but worked only with team trainers.
Wide receiver George Pickens was not with the wide receivers while they worked ball security, but he was running by himself off to the side.
