PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers had a special guest at practice on Tuesday, as former Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman J.J. Watt, the older brother of Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt, was in attendance for practice on Tuesday.
Watt is also working for the CBS Sports NFL Today pregame show again this season, along with former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher and others. In his retirement, he has also purchased an interest in the English soccer team Burnley F.C. J.J. Watt was wore a Burnley hat to practice on Tuesday, and T.J. Watt wore a Burnley jersey to the Steelers’ second preseason game against the Buffalo Bills on Saturday.
J.J. Watt attended a pair of Steelers game last season, once when the Steelers were in Houston and he was inducted into the Texans Ring of Honor, and then another in a trip to Pittsburgh to cheer on his younger brother.
At practice on Tuesday, J.J. Watt and Tomlin closely watched T.J. Watt and the rest of the team’s outside linebackers and defensive linemen, including just-signed outside linebacker Marcus Haynes, get to work.
