The Steelers have signed sixth-round pick Isaiah Buggs, the team announced on Tuesday.

Buggs, who was the Steelers’ second of three picks in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL draft, was the 192nd overall pick.

Financial terms of the four-year contract were not released, but Buggs is expected to make in the neighborhood of $2.7 million over four years. He is the first of the Steelers’ nine draft picks to sign their contract.

The 6-foot-3, 295-pound defensive lineman out of Alabama played in 29 games for the Crimson Tide over the last two seasons and recorded 102 tackles, 11 sacks, 17.5 tackles for a loss, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

Buggs and the rest of the Steelers rookies are expected to participate in the team’s rookie minicamp, which will take place this Friday through Sunday at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on the South Side.
