The Pittsburgh Steelers announced the additions of two new players, as linebacker Robert Spillane and running back Malik Williams were signed to the team on Friday.
Spillane, a undrafted rookie free agent out of Western Michigan, signed with the Tennessee Titans in 2018 before eventually being waived by the team in late October. He was only officially a member of the Titans practice squad.
Williams spent his college days in Louisville before eventually joining the Atlanta Falcons as a undrafted rookie free agent as well. Williams was waived by the Falcons following a shoulder injury, despite a stellar preseason performance.
Both players were signed to futures deals, claiming their rights as part of a 90 man roster until preseason rolls around. The roster will eventually be trimmed down to 53 players.
