Steelers Sign Running Back Tony Brooks-James

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed running back Tony Brooks-James, the club announced Tuesday.

This will be Brooks-James’ second stint in Pittsburgh. He was on the Steelers’ practice squad in 2019.

Brooks-James had most recently signed a futures contract with the Atlanta Falcons, but was cut by the team on July 26.

He began his professional career with the Falcons as well, signing as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon in 2019.

While at Oregon, Brooks-James totaled 1,863 rushing yards and 392 receiving yards with 20 touchdowns over his career.

The Steelers released linebacker Jarvis Miller to make room for the addition of Brooks-James.
