BALTIMORE — Steelers’ outside linebacker T.J. Watt suffered a knee injury against the Baltimore Ravens after leaping up to stop Ravens’ quarterback Tyler Huntley. He was hit by friendly fire with defensive tackle Montravius Adams, and Watt’s lower leg got hit. It is unclear on the severity of Watt’s injury, but he immediately went into the blue medical tent and then left to the locker room. He was ruled out for the game.

The injury will leave Markus Golden and Nick Herbig to man the other side. Meanwhile, Alex Highsmith will continue working on the line’s right side. Pittsburgh needs Watt, who has already racked up two sacks in this game, not only because they need him for this game but also for a potential playoff matchup with whoever they could meet.
Watt and his brother, J.J., were the first two players to have multiple seasons with more than 19 sacks. When you consider his brother, at his prime, could play inside a lot, that makes it insane. Regardless, the team needs T.J., who has become the lifeblood of their team this season and was voted team MVP for the fourth time in five seasons. His brother sent out a tweet hoping for the best.
No worse feeling.
Devastating.

He is in contention for the Defensive Player of the Year Award after winning it in 2021, when he tied the all-time sack record. Watt continues to cement his Hall of Fame resume by maintaining an elite level of play throughout his career in the NFL. The Steelers will give updates on Watt’s condition.
