INDIANAPOLIS — The Pittsburgh Steelers fell four spots in the AFC playoff picture after losing 30-13 to the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday, along with other action around the NFL.
The Cincinnati Bengals victory earlier in the day had already pushed the Steelers from the No. 6 seed to the No. 7 said in the AFC playoff race, and from third place to fourth place in the AFC North standings.
When the Steelers lost to the Colts, they plummeted all the way to 11th. They got one spot back when the Denver Broncos lost to the Detroit Lions later on Saturday night.

The Steelers currently have a 9% chance of making the playoffs, according to the New York Times playoff projector. That’s down from 25% at the start of the day. ESPN Bet has the Steelers as +600 playoff underdogs, for implied odds of 14%.
If the Steelers are able to win out for their three remaining games, NYT says they would then have an 89% chance to make the playoffs.
