Steelers Top Brass Skips Michigan Pro Day for Aaron Rodgers Visit

The Pittsburgh Steelers top brass is skipping the Michigan pro day on Friday, one of their usual annual stops, and home to some of the top Steelers prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft.
With free agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers visiting UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on the South Side on Friday, general manager Omar Khan, head coach Mike Tomlin and offensive coordinator Arthur Smith stayed behind in Pittsburgh, while defensive coordinator Teryl Austin headed up the Pittsburgh contingent in Ann Arbor.
He’ll have plenty of top prospects to catch up with, including several that are good first for the Steelers.
None are better fits than defensive tackle Kenneth Grant, who is one of the top options for the Steelers at No. 21 overall in the first round. Cornerback Will Johnson has also been connected to the Steelers’ first-round pick, though he is expected to go in the top 15.

Defensive tackle Mason Graham will also be of interest, though he is considered a top-five pick and the top of a strong draft class at his position.
Tight end Colston Loveland gives the Wolverines four players expected to be taken in the first round, though the Steelers have not been interest in a tight end that early in this class.
Other fits for the Steelers from the list of Wolverines include running backs Donovan Edwards and Kalel Mullings, edge rusher Josaiah Stewart and tackle Myles Hinton, who are all expected to be day-three draft picks.
