Pittsburgh Steelers Braden Fiske

The Pittsburgh Steelers are hosting Florida State defensive lineman Braden Fiske on a top-30 pre-draft visit, according to Justin Melo of the Draft Network. That is one of many reported pre-draft visits for defensive lineman this cycle, and he joins Khristian Boyd and Darius Robinson in that category. Fiske then later said that the Steelers were one of the teams most interested in him.

Fiske tested like a freak at the NFL Combine, dazzling everyone with a 4.78 40-yard dash and looking like the best athlete on the field.

After running that 40-yard dash, Fiske even pumped himself up with a ceremonious ‘Oh yeah!’ to celebrate the run. All in all, he measured in at 6-foot-3, 292 pounds, and jumped 33.5 inches on the vertical with an accompanying 9-foot-9-inch broad. Those numbers were first among all defensive linemen.

In addition, his drills, specifically his hoop drill, showcased Fiske’s fantastic bend and fluidity, allowing him to pop on tape. His athletic testing is backing up a strong season at Florida State.

He finished that off with a 1.68 10-yard split to confirm his explosiveness. In other words, Braden Fiske is a freak athlete who is right up many teams’ alley. Most guys can not do what he did at that size, and it plays directly into the versatile player that Fiske has branded himself as coming out.

Fiske finished with a 9.92 RAS, the 14th best from 1987 to 2024. That can help his stock, which held strong around the third round. Fiske flashed at the Senior Bowl and continued to rise up boards, but with a weaker class and movement certain from now until the draft, Fiske could be a late riser who ascends.
