The Pittsburgh Steelers will wear their Color Rush uniforms against the New York Giants on Monday night at Acrisure Stadium, the team announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Since the turn of the century, the Steelers wore many different alternate jerseys until they debuted the Color Rush jersey as one of their current alternates back in the 2016 season. Compared to the Steelers normal jersey, the Color Rush jersey features golden block numbers and black pants.

The Steelers first introduced the Color Rush jersey during the 2016 season and have worn them at least once in each season since then. The Steelers debuted the Color Rush uniforms on Christmas Day in 2016, when they defeated the Baltimore Ravens, 31-27. This was the game where Antonio Brown made the “Immaculate Extension” to win the AFC North title. The most recent game that the team wore the all-black jersey was Week 14 of last year when they lost to the New England Patriots, 21-18, on Thursday Night Football.

Overall, the Steelers are 7-3 when donning the fan-favorite alternate jersey. They’ve lost their last two games when wearing the unis, as they fell to the Cincinnati Bengals, 37-30, on Sunday Night Football in 2022.

“I have seen so many great players wearing that jersey,” cornerback Joey Porter Jr. said, via Steelers.com. “I like how the yellow pops on the block numbers. I have always been a fan of the block numbers. The fact that they put a spin on that for color rush, I love it. It always looks clean. I get excited for color rush.

“It’s an overall good uniform that I hope we bring back more often. Every time we play in them, I am happy.”

This will be the second straight week that the Steelers wear alternate uniforms. They wore their block number throwbacks in Sunday night’s win over the New York Jets.
