Steelers Wine and Dine Alabama QB Jalen Milroe Before Pro Day

The top offensive brass of the Pittsburgh Steelers is in Tuscaloosa, Alabama for the Crimson Tide’s pro day on Wednesday, and Tuesday night, several of the Steelers staff dine with Alabama quarterback and 2025 NFL Draft prospect Jalen Milroe.
General manager Omar Khan, head coach Mike Tomlin and quarterbacks coach Tom Arth were all in attendance at dinner with Milroe, according to a report by Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
The Steelers always attend the Alabama pro day, and they often try to get as many of the team’s top prospects to dinner the night before as possible, but Arth’s inclusion makes it pretty clear the Steelers are in Alabama to see Milroe.

They got a first glimpse at the 2025 Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama last month, and Milroe did not have a great week of practice, often lacking in accuracy and displaying subpar decision-making in the pocket.
At the NFL Combine, Milroe cleared up a wonky hand-size measurement from the Senior Bowl, with a just-below-average 9 3/8-inch measurement. Milroe did not participate in testing at the combine, saving his 40-yard dash and other athletic measurements for his pro day.
The Steelers will want a good look at Milroe in action, as the team still has a large need at quarterback after a week of free agency, and seems unlikely to take one with their first-round pick at No. 21 overall. Milroe is currently the No. 52 overall player on the NFL Mock Draft Database big board. The Steelers do not have a pick in the second round, so they’ll either need Milroe to fall to them at No. 83 or make a trade in order to trade the Alabama passer.
Other players the Steelers will be checking out in Tuscaloosa will likely include day three prospects safety Malachi Moore, tight end C.J. Dippre and defensive tackle Tim Smith.
