Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster Teases Jersey Number Change

NFL owners approved a resolution Wednesday that allows, among other things skill position players to wear single-digit jersey numbers.

Fans and players alike immediately started brainstorming what it would look like if the league’s biggest stars changed their numbers to one of the new options, and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is no exception.

Smith-Schuster shared a photoshopped picture of himself repping a No. 9 jersey on Twitter Wednesday night, asking fans if he should make the switch.

While No. 9 actually looks pretty good on Smith-Schuster, there is one big problem. His teammate, Steelers kicker Chris Boswell, already owns the number.

Smith-Schuster could always offer Boswell something lucrative in exchange for the number, but he is likely just joking, considering his brand is already synonymous with his No. 19.
