Steelers defensive end Stephon Tuitt said that he expects to return to the Steelers roster next Monday against Washington and that the team should have an easy time with the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday without him.
Tuitt was placed on the COVID-19 reserve list on Saturday and will miss the game, along with Steelers offensive linemen Maurkice Pouncey and Jerald Hawkins and running back James Conner.
After Tuitt was officially announced as a scratch, he posted on Instagram that he expects to return next week.
“Good luck to the boys today,” he wrote. “Pad the stats – should be an easy one. Eyeing my return for next week against Washington where I should catch up. I say it because I believe it.”
Tuitt will likely be replaced by a combination of Chris Wormley, Isaiah Buggs and Henry Mondeaux against the Ravens.
